Arkadium Signs 300 New Publishers in 2016, Sees Record Growth

New client deals, record content metrics, and new hires mark one of largest years of growth for the long-time leader in interactive content for publishers & brands

New York – January 18, 2017 – Arkadium (www.Arkadium.com), the leading provider of interactive content, including games, quizzes, and more, to the world’s biggest publishers and brands, today announced that the company has achieved record growth in 2016 by signing more than 300 publishing partners, generating new highs in user engagements across its content, and hiring more than 30 new team members to meet demand for its expanding product portfolio.

300 New Clients: TMZ, Sports Illustrated & More
In the last 12 months, Arkadium has inked brand-new deals with more than 300 global media outlets, including TMZ, Sports Illustrated, and New York Daily News. The new properties join Arkadium’s global roster of partners, totaling more than 450 tier-one publishers and brands, that use the company’s interactive content to engage readers and keep them on their websites longer.

“Our growing customer base and overall success speaks to the results we drive for partners,” said Jessica Rovello, CEO and co-founder of Arkadium. “Our technology scales interactive content across hundreds of publisher websites, delivering off-the-charts levels of user engagement, retention and site monetization. We anticipate 2017 being an even stronger year, where we’ll be introducing revolutionary new products for publishers that provide even greater levels of engagement and monetization.”

Record High Content Metrics for Arena in 2016
Arkadium’s flagship offering is its Arena product. Arena is a technology platform that instantly brings white labeled interactive content to any publisher’s website with just a single line of code.

For Arena, Arkadium recorded the highest number of engagement sessions in the company’s history in 2016, totaling over 223 million—a more than 13 percent increase from the previous year. Additionally, readers using Arena passed 42 million, a 4 percent increase, while total content starts grew by 10 percent, to 522 million. Sessions per user also reached 5.01, a rise of 13 percent.

Both total sessions and sessions per user this year were the highest on record for Arkadium’s Arena platform. The number of users is also the highest on record for the company.

‘Best Place to Work’ Gets Over 30 New Employees
In conjunction with its growth, Arkadium has also initiated a significant staffing effort over the past year. The company has added a new VP of People and more than 30 employees, overall, across departments, beefing up its team for an expanding client pipeline and new interactive platforms.

“Everything we’ve been able to accomplish this year is the result of the amazing work of our staff in New York and Russia,” added Rovello. “Following Russia’s annexation of Crimea and the forced closure of our 100 person office there in 2014, we’ve engineered an incredible corporate comeback story. To go from near destruction to the highest revenue in the company’s 16-year history, while also being named one of the best places to work, all in just two years, is a dream come true. Our success speaks to our incredible resilience as an organization.”

In June of 2016, Arkadium was featured on the cover of Inc. Magazine and named in the publication’s inaugural “Best Places to Work” issue.
